SWPC's ATODA Prevention Training System online courses are offered free of charge to participants in NewMexico.
- These courses are offered through the Desire To Learn online course platform at the University of Oklahoma. In order to access the Desire To Learn platform, participants should have reliable internet access and a media player installed on their computer.
- Participants will not need to download any additional programs to access the course.
-
Each course involves specific requirements which may include online readings, video and audio clips, assignments, quizzes, surveys, and discussions boards. All courses conclude with a course evaluation. All courses are divided into units or modules based on the course learning objectives.
- Online courses and/or course units are assigned specific start and end dates, in order to encourage timely completion. However, all learning activities are asynchronous, meaning that you may complete each course or course unit anytime during the days assigned to that unit. You have the ability to login as many times as needed and can log-in after the course is completed to review your work.
- Approximately two business days prior to the start of the online course, you will receive an email which will outline individual user ID, password, and course access information. Additional phone and email technical assistance related to course access and navigation will be available during business hours if needed.
- Contact Brenda Powell at (405) 325-9180 or bpowell@ou.edu for technical assistance related to online courses.
Visit the Training and Registration page for online course schedule.
